The vision to start a contemporary church in the Stafford, Virginia came to Pastor Willis in 2005. God showed him how he would raise a generation of people from all walks of life to come together to worship and make a change in the community. Pastor Willis prayed, meditated, and prepared in 2006 for the task set before him. In the fall of 2006, he met with various leaders and entities to share the vision and raised the financial support needed to move forward with the church.
On September 16, 2007, the first church service was held at North Stafford High School with 298 people in attendance. Pastor Willis' vision for Vision Community Church (VCC) consists of a 5-10-15 year strategy. VCC intends on purchasing land to build a state-of-the-art church complex. This facility will be completed in phases and will consist of a Sanctuary, Family Life Center, Children's Jesus Gym, Youth Center, Fitness and Wellness Center and will showcase a premier music studio. Once we begin reaching the masses in the community, the demand will call for additional ministries with an eye towards building the Kingdom of God.
VCC has been blessed by the hand and favor of God. We will continue our mission which is to be a church committed to reaching all people in the community by the power of God, to encourage and inspire and transform your life.
God has placed some awesome people in my ministry. I will share that if you are going to do significant things for God, you will have to cut ties with things, places and people.
