Carlos Venable is a native Washingtonian. His two passions in life since the time of childhood are God and music. At the age of eight, Carlos began learning how to play the drums. Throughout the years, he moved from drums to violin, trumpet, trombone, baritone bugle, upright bass, and electric bass. As a child, he was so excited about his music that he would come home from school, complete his homework, and then proceed to rehearse, without taking time to play outdoors. This dedication and desire to be the best he could be led to several awards and participation in several bands, including the youth orchestra, jazz band, and drum corps. At one point while in junior high school, Carlos responded to a request for vocalists to join the choir, which resulted in singing at the National Basilica. Carlos dedicated his life to Christ at the young age of twelve. His greatest desire is to serve God full-time in ministry because this is the purpose to which God has called him. His main goal in everything he does is to bring people to Christ. Carlos is a perfectionist in music because, “God wants us to work for perfection. When the Holy Spirit takes over, everything’s perfect.” Carlos has played every venue a musician of his caliber could imagine. .
